You know this feeling in the afternoon when you start to get a craving for something sweet but don't want to eat anything unhealthy? For those moments, we always have these sweet treats in our fridge that are a perfect healthy dessert or afternoon snack with your coffee.
The ingredients contain of only good stuff: the nuts are full of good fats and you get an extra portion omega-3 fatty acids from the roasted ground milled flaxseed. Cacao nibs are taking the healthy dark chocolate to the next level as you are eating the cacao bean itself. They are rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, and are said to even improve mood.
Mix all ingredients in a food processor until a stick dough forms. Roll into little balls with your hands and store in the fridge.
If you want to make your Superfood Energy Balls extra pretty and even healthier, you can roll them in berry powder or roasted ground milled flaxseed.
