Berries are a great source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. And so are high quality berry powders.
When choosing your berry powder it is important to notice that berry powders can be produced in two different ways. In the first one the powder is made using the whole berry which means that all the good stuff included in the berries comes also with the powder. This is how Love Arctic’s berry powders are produced.
Another method to produce berry powders is to use what is left after the berry juice is rendered – that is the shell and the seeds. Here most of the good stuff has already gone to the juice – what is still left is the high amount of fiber.
It is quite easy to spot the difference between powders made of whole berries and powders made of the shell and seeds. The powder made of whole berries has a much brighter colour than the one where you only have the shell and seeds left. You can see it with bare eyes with any powder but it is especially easy to spot with lingonberry powder as it has such a bright red colour naturally.
You will also notice the difference the second you open your berry powder pouch. With powder made of whole berries you can smell the berries as if you were wondering in a forest picking them yourself. Also the taste is almost like enjoying fresh berries.
