This is always my smoothie of choice whenever I have overindulge in food or feeling a bit rundown. It’s jam packed with vitamins, minerals, protein, healthy fats and beautifying antioxidants. It’s literally a bomb of health for your whole body!
Because of the banana and pineapple it is naturally sweet so it’s ideal even if you are not a huge veggie fan, I promise you will barely taste the kale!
Apart from being extremely hydrating this smoothie packs so many great detoxifying ingredients, like the lemon, kale, ginger and finally the Nettle Tea. Nettle tea is a great drink to have after dinner as it helps digestion and it’s also been shown to help reducing inflammation. Nettle tea is also a great source of magnesium and calcium making a great addition to smoothies, juices or soups.
Makes 2 small bottles or a generous size bowl
Few hours before you are planning to make the smoothie brew some Love Arctic Clean Nettle tea and let it cool down completely. If you are in a rush just add some ice cubes after the tea has brewed for at least 10 minutes.
Simply place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until all smooth and creamy. If you are running out of the door you can just drink it straight from the bottle or because of its thickness you can also serve it as a smoothie bowl. I love topping mine with a generous dollop of coconut yogurt, fresh berries and mint leaves.
